Where previous seasons saw Schumer playing with feminist themes, she was only scratching the surface. In season three, she has raised the level of discourse, and the show is stronger for it.

Heroes of the small screen: The flawed perfection of ‘Arrow’, ‘Flash’ & ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’

Arrow and Flash may be problematic, but that’s partly because they can and do take bigger risks with their characters, and are willing to dig deeper into relationships, romantic or otherwise. That said they don’t get a pass just for swinging big.
